Top5 | Dec 13, 2015
The year is coming to end and it's been one of the best years ever for new gear. So before we all get caught up in NAMM 2016, here are our best new guitar effects pedals for 2015.
1) Chase Bliss Audio Spectre
The number one spot could easily have gone to the Chase Bliss Audio Gravitas, but then they dropped the Spectre on us and nothing was ever the same again. If you think you don't need a flanger, you haven't heard the Spectre. If you don't believe us just watch the demo by KNOBS.
2) JHS Unicorn
Release on the 1st of April, people weren't even sure the JHS Unicorn was real, but as the fog cleared there it was, an all analog univibe with tap tempo.
3) Wampler Tumnus
Different or better is the ethos from Wampler Pedals, and with the Tumnus they've differentiated with it's tiny size, while still producing one of the best Klon inspired pedals we've seen.
4) BOSS DD500
BOSS are one of the largest mainstream effects producers, but the release of the DD500 has seen them competing with many of the more "boutique" delays out there.
5) Electro Harmonix K9
Electro Hamonix almost have a monopoly on polyphonic pitch shifting pedals. This year has seen them release not only the Pitch Fork and NANO POG, but also the K9 Electric Piano Machine, bringing a huge array of keyboards to the pedalboards of guitarists.
