The Danelectro '84 takes a classic and throws some useful quirks and personality at it. Namely: Lipstick pickups, simpler controls, Wilkinson bridge and a very Danelectro-shaped headstock. It works and works well. They're a pleasure to play, sound great, are built solidly and, for most people at least, will be affordable. That's a lot of pluses and no minuses that I can think of.
