Vertex Effects. Oakland, CA. No strangers to coolness and controversy. The T-Drive is the Vertex tip 'o' the hat to the classic Trainwreck Express amp, built in limited numbers by the late Ken Fischer. Ken built his amps on the other side of the paddock in New Jersey. The pedal (and amp) attempt to blend the best of the classic and coveted Vox and Marshall amps - and both do pretty darned well in my opinion. It's a simple affair: Volume on the left, Gain on the right. Together those two controls are capable of many tones - and dynamics (especially) - depending on what guitar and amp the pedal is seeing and feeding. I like it because it sounds good and it's simple. Nice one, lads.
