On to the details:
The Schoen “Paddy” Guitar is a twin pickup, single-cutaway solid body with a compact feel. Think “Junior Deluxe”, with two ultra-wide range TV Jones Classic pickups that can shimmer, sparkle, and shred. Pickup selector, tone, and an ultra-cool three-way tone selector switch for three separate sounds for easy shifting “on the fly”. Completely quiet copper-jacket shielding on all wiring. Schoen hammered nickel tailpiece with slotted T-Hole string mounts.
The good stuff, the mojo, is the body is made of a 1964 Paddy Irish Whiskey crate, from Cork Ireland. The graphics on the crate are deep and rich red and black. Crate text includes “Paddy ” “Ten Years Old” ” Cork Distilleries, Cork Ireland”. The top edge and back have been relieved for player comfort, so this guitar plays as smooth as it looks. Schaller Grande-Tune tuners keep things smooth and stable.
Definitely a player guitar for somebody who is not afraid of making some noise!
The Paddy guitar is one of a series of guitars I have donated to the annual Reach For Kids Auction, which supports local childrens charities. It is sponsored by the union of pilots flying UPS airplanes, the Independent Pilot’s Association. This year’s auction is a live and online auction, via the website Autria.com, and will be live from Oct 1st to the 8th. The beneficiary of this year’s auction is Kosair Childrens Charities. There are a lot of cool donated items that will be available.
That is all!
Thank you, Thank you!
