The Alien Comp by Analog Alien is an opcomp based compressor whose circuit is lifted from the Joe Walsh Double Classic, another Analog Alien pedal that has attracted favourable and global attention. The Alien Comp is not your standard 'squish' box; it draws largely from high-end studio compressors and offers more of a transparent boost with a subtler compression ratio on tap (2:1 - 10:1). It welcomes hot and moderate output pickups equally thanks to its input signal 'Sensitivity' control and will add to your tone that little 'something' that may well see it being used by many as an 'always on' device. If you're in the market for a refined but easy to use compressor, you should have a closer look at the Alien Comp.
