WARNING: This is one of the best sounding tremolos on the market today and you may find yourself helplessly parting with your hard-earneds after hearing it. Fortunately for you, it's not expensive. In fact, compared to many others I've demoed the Vagabond is an absolute bargain because it really sounds amazing. I'm a little bit in love with this pedal.
Tremolos are pretty tough to get right, in my humble opinion. There are very few I would give a 10/10 score to. The last one was the Dawner Prince Starla, a far more comprehensive unit. It sounded amazing and had a zillion features (and is, by the way, very much still in production). But the sound is my main criteria. SubDecay's Vagabond sounds equally as great, maybe even better, and is far simpler to use. 10/10 for the Vagabond. It's 'that' sound... Whoa.
Features, as per the SubDecay site:
•Harmonic and Bias tremolo in one unit.
•Envelope speed control – Pick attack can slow down or speed up the tremolo by using the drift knob.
•Dedicated external volume knob helps make up for perceived volume loss.
•Speed and intensity go beyond classic amp design limitations for maximum throb and chop.
•All analog design.
