Last year I was fortunate to be able to demo the Rock-Fabrik Effects Mind Abuse Distortion, a pedal which I regard as amongst the best of its kind. Today I'm trying their far subtler and just as classy Aqua Lung Transparent Overdrive/Clean Boost Pedal. The Aqua Lung does no-to-low gain while keeping your guitar's original tone spectrum largely intact. However, it also features low and high pass filtering as well as a general tone control with which to further tailor your sound. It loves a clean amp but can also be used a little like a treble booster to push a dirty amp further into distortion. The Aqua Lung will find a home on pedalboards that enjoy subtler applications as well as general boosts. Another 10/10 fellas!
