The Marshall Blues Breaker is best described as a grandfather overdrive. What was intended to be a recreation of an iconic amp in pedal form during the blues resurgence of the late 80s early 90s, seems to have inspired some of the most popular overdrives on the boutique market today. Almost 30 years after it's release this overdrive is both a modern classic and a vintage piece of effects pedal history. It's influence has helped bring innovative overdrives like the JHS Morning glory, the Analog man King of Tone and Prince of Tone and some pedal makers today still clone it's original circuitry. This is the story of the Marshall Blues Breaker.
