There are few pedals that can truthfully claim the title of "classic" in my opinion. The late 70's A/DA Flanger would be one of those. Unparalleled for both sound and versatility, it has appeared on countless classic (there's that word again) recordings and internationally renowned guitarists pedalboards. Now David and the A/DA have revised the Voltage Controlled Flanger and in doing so have reduced the size (PBF stands for Pedal Board Friendly) and cost - but not the quality. It still outshines most choruses I can think of and will do whammy, vibrato and de-tune modulations as well. Bass Cut, True Bypass, on/off LED and Expression Pedal control of the Manual function have also been added. It likes 9-12VDC. I ran it at 12VDC for this video.
The original A/DA Flanger, if you can find one, will set you back an arm and a leg. Now you can own its younger but no less capable brother for a much friendlier price. It's a classic, that's for sure.
