You might never heard of StumpBox Pedals or North Guitars, but make no mistake that the things they make for guitarists - like this Get Fuzzed fuzz pedal, or the two guitars being shown in the playing section, are all UK made, rare, and exceptional quality - just as you might expect from custom shop makers.
StumpBox Pedals has been around since 2022 and in the scheme of things that's not long really. But I understand that the key employee - Andy, has been in the electronics business for over 30 years, so you could say that he has excellent experience in what he does. He always loved the guitars and pedals so decided to get serious and his company is the result. Andy is helped by his wife Michelle and they make a great team churning out quality effects gear - check their website at http://www.stumpboxpedals.co.uk and Andy has an email at stumpboxpedals@gmail.com
This pedal was loaned to me and promptly returned after the review as the Get Fuzzed are limited runs of just 100 pedals of each version, and this is the 'silver knob' version. There's a huge amount of flexibility in the Get Fuzzed pedal and its entirely adjustable inside as you will see in this inside and out review. The Get Fuzzed pedal works wonderfully in front of a Marshall Amplifier as you will see in the extensive playing contributed by Phil when he shows off his North Guitars models.
I did look at the fuzz pedal but I was not really suited to that tone, so Phil came along to help - thanks Phil. North Guitars have contact details as: Website: http://www.northguitars.co.uk and Instagram @northguitars
And of course Alan Bruce was involved with the review of the pedal also. Alan has also used fuzz pedals over the years so has a useful contributing opinion too.
In this review of the Get Fuzzed pedal we show you basically everything you might want to know, including the internals, the quality, we discuss the warranty and much more - so if you're in the market for a custom but flexible fuzz pedal then this could be for you... and bear in mind that often these types of pedals go on to be worth substantial money later down the road when the company gets to be well known - and I'm sure that StumpBox Pedals will get there with quality and tones like this.

Lastly, Phil from North Guitars uses two different guitars (worth taking a look - they sound great) and he does a great job as you will see.
Recording of the guitars was through an AKG 4030 microphone and a Marshall 2525X 20w guitar amp custom made in 2022 for me. The DAW and desk were Presonus and used digital connectivity only.
