Elliott from Sound Technology (Digitech UK distributor) gives PMTVUK an in-depth look at the new SDRUM, strummable drum machine for guitarists.
Very easy to use, simply strum in a basic pattern (bass strings = kick drum, treble strings = snare) and the SDRUM will create a groove based around what you played, for you to jam along with. Verses, choruses and bridge parts can be created and saved, meaning that the S-DRUM can be a very useful tool for songwriters.
Various drum kits can be selected, including brush, power and electro kits, and time signatures and groove nuances can be changed with the touch of a button (or knob).
There's a separate stereo output for the drum parts, so your guitar can be sent independently to your amp/pedals and the backing to a mixer or PA system, and there's also a USB socket for software updates and "JamSync" connector for syncing up with a Digitech Jam Man looper.
Take a quick look and listen with PMTVUK and make sure to check one out at your local Professional Music Technology...
