This turquoise terror is a beauty queen with the soul of James Dean! All in all, it’s a bit rounder and woodier than a typical Gretsch in the low end and mids, but it’s got a lot of treble sparkle to it—I mean, a guitar with this finish has to sound sparkly too, right? The neck pickup’s bass response is focused and tight, and the most prominent frequencies are in the low-midrange. Despite being a relatively dark pickup, it has exceptional presence in the high-end that keeps everything clear. The bridge pickup is all punchy mids and top-end chime. Having two pickups with such different voicings makes this guitar incredibly versatile, so if you need a Gretsch that covers lots of bases while looking pretty, this is the guitar for you!
