Our good friends from Dumpstaphunk, Nick Daniels and Tony Hall, came by the factory a month ago to play through the new Subway® D-800™ Bass Amps and Ultra-Lite 1x12 and 1x15 cabs.
Nick played his well known Tobias 5-string through the D-800 with a 1x12 and a 1x15 Ultra-Lite cab while Tony played a 5-string Spector Coda bass with Active EMG pickups through the Subway D-800 and two 1x15 Ultralite cabs.
Nick’s rig was recorded using a Sennheiser 421 mic on the 1x12 Ultralite cab and the D-800’s DI set to Post mode with a 50% blend between the two sources. Ton’y rig was mic’d with a Sennheiser 421 on the bottom 1x15 and the D-800’s DI set to Post with a 50% blend between the two sources. Both blended bass outputs received light compression on their final bounce.
Great jams and Tony Hall continues to bring some of the best bass-face in the business! :)
Our thanks to Nick, Tony and Ian Neville for all the efforts to get to the Mesa Video Lounge taking the time to perform for Mesa Tone Sessions.
