The RAW mode in the Multi-Watt Rectifier series offers a more fundamental layering of harmonics compared to it's higher gain mode cousins, Vintage and Modern. While the full low end and bounce & responsiveness found in all high gain channels of a Rectifier still remains, RAW stays true and more focused to a balanced amount of saturation. This balance lends RAW to classic rock styles and sounds where Vintage or Modern might offer too much saturation and this clip is a great example of the smooth, even grind that this mode can offer.
Recorded with Kris Dilbeck and the bridge position humbucker of a Les Paul through a Multi-Watt Dual Rectifier head and 2x12 Rectifier cab with Custom Celestion Vintage 30 speakers and a Shure SM57 and Sennheiser 421.
