Yes in the age of video and YouTube Podcasts are still around and are still an excellent resource for learning about gear and chasing tone. Here's a quick run down of a few of our favorites:
1) 60 Cycle Hum
The original and entertaining is what 60 Cycle Hum is all about. Along with unique segments like craigslist ad reviews, Ryan and Steve also do some very original YouTube demos.
2) The Tone Mob
Along with gear news and tips, you should also check out The Tone Mob podcast for some excellent interviews with guitar, amp and pedal builders in the industry.
3) Guitar Nerds
Heading over to the UK, Guitar Nerds run another great podcast as well as some great top list count downs over on their YouTube channel.
4) Gear Talk
Lance Seymour runs Gear Talk, one of (if not the largest) guitar groups on Facebook. Along with all his other endeavours, he also hosts the Gear Talk Podcast.
5) Chasing Tone (Wampler Pedals)
For over 100 episodes Wampler Pedals has hosted a great podcast with both audio and video. While the format has changed a little recently, it's still definitely worth going back through the archives to learn as much as you can.
6) 20 Questions (JHS Pedals)
Our second podcast from a pedal maker sees Josh Scott of JHS sit down with musicians and manufacturers alike.
7) The Guitar Podcast
Making this list a magnificent seven, The Guitar Podcast stays focused on gear, and after 7 years and 140 episodes is still going strong!
