What's going on my friends?!?! SeanPierceJohnson here and welcome to a very special episode of Stompbox Saturday.
During the NAMM show, I got the chance to meet Thomas Blug and sample the AMP1. Although I was impressed...NAMM isn't the best place to decide whether or not a piece of gear is good or not. Lo and behold, Thomas decided to come down to Laguna Beach and join me in the studio so I could check out BOTH versions of the AMP1 in my workspace and studio environment!!! What a treat.
In this video, Thomas and I walk through getting sounds similar to my Orange Rockerverb with the AMP1 Mercury Edition. More of a "vintage" flavor, the Mercury Edition AMP1 has everything the gigging guitarist needs! Two channels, built-in boost circuit, reverb, power amp, and more.
Plus, Thomas will plug in his infamous BluGuitar strat and show us how he sets up the AMP1 when he plays live!
