The SolidGoldFX Electroman delay has been a staple in their product catalog for over 10 years and has gone through big changes, adapting to players needs by adding features like tap tempo and extended delay time. The EM-III explores new territory with multiple tape-style heads and rhythmic suboctave delay sounds in its smallest package yet.
The momentary toggle switch lets you select one, two or three tape heads by tapping to the left. Switching to the right engages the suboctave voice that is added to the delay signal, instantly thickening the delay and adding surreal voices to the single head or multi-tap repeats.
In addition to Electroman’s classic warp feature, which blazes straight into self-oscillation, the right bypass switch doubles and a glitch generator, simulating a rogue tape machine suddenly ramping down or up, taking the delay signal on a wild ride of pitch bending and noise generation. With a little creativity, you can manipulate both footswitches together to create ambient textures and chaotic ebb and flow in your music. The Color and Flutter knobs are both center detented and double sided, giving you low and high pass shaping of the delay signal as well as depth control over two lush modulation modes, respectively. Like all SolidGoldFX, the EM-III Multi-Head Octave Echo is handmade in Montreal Canada and offers unique tones and features that are designed to inspire.
