This Royal Teaburst terror is one thick-sounding Les Paul! It has a woody, percussive attack that gives way to rapid piano-like note bloom, and it produces lots of rich harmonic content. The bridge pickup is beefy and full, but it still has plenty of sizzling spice in the highs. The neck pickup is as thick and smooth as molasses and as heavy as Black Sabbath's first five records. There's also a good amount of snarl in the upper-mids to help it slice and dice its way through the mix. Single-note lines pack more wallop than a ten-pound hammer, and chords are positively crushing when you turn the gain to ten (it sounds nice when you play with regular amounts of gain, too--don't worry!). Anyone searching for a massive-sounding Les Paul will love this serial!
