This Jason Smith-built '61 Strat from the 2020 NAMM show has a killer finish I've never seen before called Transparent Satin Spearmint, and it has an appropriate name, because it is fresh as-all-git-out! It also sounds killer. It's definitely a warm, creamy-sounding Strat. The lows are warm and round, the midrange is vocal and chewy, and the high-end is glassy and sparkly. The bridge pickup snaps and jangles, the middle pickup is balanced and full while maintaining plenty of cut in the mids, and the neck pickup is thick and smooth. Anyone looking for a classic-sounding Strat with a minty finish will love this serial!
