The Castilleja is a 4-stage analog optical phaser with digital control, the best of both worlds! Unlike the classic phasers this pedal can emulate, the Castilleja has much more more flexibility over its speed, intensity and voicing. Thanks to a 3-way Feedback switch, the phase tones can be subtle colorations or super swishy and a variable Wave shape control can be set on or in-between 4 waveforms (ramp, triangle, sine, square) for near endless swirling concoctions. The Voice of the phaser can also be changed from Phase 90 style to Univibe chorus with a single flick or if you prefer wetter mixes that get into vibrato territory, the secondary voicings are accessed by holding the right footswitch and toggling.
Going above and beyond, the Castilleja’s Level knob goes passed unity gain for an extra bump when you need it and its Speed control pushes the boundaries of a conventional knob. First, you can Tap the tempo with various subdivisions and additionally ramp Momentarily between between 2 speeds when holding the left footswitch. Latch ramp mode gives you two preset speeds with a single tap, much like a rotary speaker. Finally, Drift ramp acts like a pendulum, constantly modulating back at forth between two speeds at your rate and depth of choice. If that wasn’t enough, you get the choice to plug in a remote tap or ramp footswitch or an expression pedal. Like all Flower Pedals, the Castilleja is hand made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and is expertly designed for maximum functionality and low-noise, using quality components.
