The 1969 Telecaster Thinline is a profoundly inspiring entry into our Thin Skin series because of its supercharged savage tone and its fascinating history. Back in 1968, renowned German luthier Roger Rossmeisl (the man responsible for many of Rickenbacker's most iconic designs) showed up in Fullerton, California and told Leo Fender that he was ready to get started working for Fender. Impressed by Roger's moxie, Leo hired him on the spot and told him to work on revitalizing the Telecaster.
