Before today, I don't think I'd ever seen a Cadillac Green Strat! After playing this Jason Smith-built Wildwood 10, I am pleased to report that it sounds as marvelous as its finish looks. The attack has that sweetness that you can only get from a Brazilian fingerboard, so it has tons of vintage character. In general, it's quite a vocal sounding Strat, and its midrange is quite touch-sensitive: hit it hard, and the mids bite while the highs scream. Ease off, and the mids are throatier and the high-end sings more. This guitar also has a definite Hendrixian quality to it: the lows are warm and round, the highs are laden with chiming overtones, and the mids are chewy and vocal. Anyone seeking a Strat with tons of vintage vibe will love this monster Masterbuilt '69!
