In this video, Sam takes a look at a great sounding, pretty unique effects pedal, the Keeley Vibe-O-Verb modulated reverb. Check it out here: https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/keeley-vibe-o-verb-ambient-reverb-with-modulation
When designing a pedalboard, not many people will choose to put a reverb pedal before their phaser or chorus, which makes the Vibe-O-Verb pretty unique, as it allows you to hear what it sounds like to add modulation to an already reverberated signal. A blend between a vintage sounding modulation and a reverb pedal, it specialises in creating swirly, atmospheric tones and textures, allowing you to get really creative.
There’s three modes to choose from, Harmonic mode adds a choppy harmonic tremolo to the reverb tails, Vibrato a spacey sounding modulated chorus and Phaser mode mixes a lovely, rich phase effect with the reverberations. There’s controls to adjust the speed and depth of the modulation, a decay knob to set the size of the reverb, from small and subtle to absolutely cavernous, and finally, a mix control balances the wet and dry signals.
Built to Keeley’s usual high standards, the pedal looks great with it’s brushed finish and original univibe inspired graphics, but like most of these Robert Keeley pedals, it’s worth noting that you’ll need a 9 volt power supply as it doesn’t run on batteries.
