There's nothing flash or hero about my playing here. It's just a happy reminder, mainly to myself, about how cool the Dano '64XT is. I've played many Danelectros, old and new. They all look amazing but vary in long term appeal to me. The '64 XT is exceptional because it obviously draws its looks from the Mosrite cut, but it sounds and plays a lot differently. It has a unique soul due to its pickup combination and easy-going neck profile. It just wants to sing for you. Recently a friend asked if he could buy it from me. I almost relented but stopped because I knew it had something special. After a big dinner and a few reds this evening I tried it again (here) and I knew: The '64XT has to stay. And stay it will. If you can find a '64XT I highly recommend you grab it. /
