Using the UK high-output amplifier of the 60's and 70's that became the legend of rock, the Animals Pedal Diamond Peak Hybrid Overdrive produces a "distorted but transparent" hybrid tone played by many masters.
The Diamond Peak produces the real rock sound of a British tube amp from the early 70's. Designed by Skreddy Pedals for the ultimate in classic rock tones, this pedal is centered around the midrange, with a shimmering sparkle when the amp begins to distort.
Based on the Animals Pedal Major Overdrive, the gain was reduced and the headroom was expanded. The Distortion has a light gain, but a strong presence. Even if you increase the gain, the sound will not be muddy and punchy cutting will be achieved. The powerful Tone control will suppress the roughness and noise of the top end, and if you turn it down further, it will change to a darker tone.
The fine grained sound and the clean separation of chords are beautifully balanced, especially with the crisp cutting created by the attack. It is a pedal that gives expression by selecting the volume control, picking, and pickup of the guitar, and outputs the passion of the player to the sound as it is.
Thanks for your continued support, and remember, these videos are intended to show off the PEDALS and what they can do, not what a brilliant guitar player I am - there are plenty of shredder videos out there, and besides, I'm really a drummer :)
