It's almost unfair that this Private Stock McCarty 594 sounds AND looks as good as it does, but some guitars just have it all! It has an excellent blend of modern articulation and fullness and vintage-style snarl and swagger. The attack is percussive, and it has just the right amount of old-school sag before blooming into rich resonance sure to drive PRS fiends crazy.
The bridge pickup has raspy, punchy midrange beneath lush, sparkling three-dimensional trebles, and its low-end power would make some neck pickups envious. Playing simple chords in the bridge position makes you feel like a rock star because they sound so good, and you can also get a killer cutting lead sound without sacrificing fullness or depth.
The neck pickup has gorgeous broad, open, rich midrange response along with deep, piano-like lows and sweet, singing trebles. Chords have incredible weight and fullness, but you still get excellent string separation. Also, lead lines sound as big as a small planet!
Anyone looking for a beautiful instrument with a rich, inspiring voice and a story to tell will love this PRS McCarty 594.
