Having finished up the Walrus Audio stuff I released recently, I decided to clean out my Axe-FX III presets; something I do from time to time. Inevitably when doing this I stumble across one, get absorbed by it and any hope of cleaning goes down the drain. Such was the case when I came across "ThemePark" this morning. This is pretty cool, I thought. Eight Scenes of fun, great for a Looper perhaps. I wonder who wrote it? Simeon Harris? Yek? Matt Picone? One of the other gurus from the Fractal Audio forum? Unlikely, it's not really 'them', and it's also pretty immature and erratic. So I Googled 'ThemePark Axe-Fx'. My name came up. OK. I'd uploaded it to Axe-Change on February 10, 2020. Right... can't quite remember doing that... Odd. I also made a video demo to go with it. I can't remember making the preset OR the video. I must have been distracting myself for a couple of hours from the tour we were on (and very soon to be off, thank you Covid 19). Anyway, this morning I fired it up with the onboard Looper, hit record and went for it. First take. This is the result. The drums were added afterwards as I played to a click (and I'm still out of time!). The bird and beach effects are Axe-FX III presets also, both programmed by a genius previously unknown to me who went by the handle of 'Swedish Chef'. Indeed. The guitar is the mighty Eastman SB55DC/v. When one P90 is all you need. Enjoy. Have a great weekend.
