Alverez Guitars produce a huge range of ukuleles, renowned for their quality and value. There’s almost too many to choose from, so in this videos we’re just gonna showcase the baby of the bunch, and one of their most affordable models, the RU26S.
This awesome little Soprano uke may be part of the Alvarez’s Regent series of entry-level instruments, but it’s still built to the high standard that we’ve come to expect from them. This one’s got a Spruce top with mahogany back and sides, there’s a satin finished mahogany neck which feels lovely, and the uke delivers a nice bright, but gentle traditional soprano tone.
Hardware includes a set of chrome closed back tuners and a real bone nut to increase resonance, there’s binding around the body to protect the top from any knocks, a simple but attractive sound hole rosette, and if you need some added versatility, along with the Concert and Tenor version, the RU26 is also available as an electro cutaway which features an onboard pre-amp system with EQ control and a tuner.
