Tangerines are nature's candy, and this Candy Tangerine '57 Duo Jet sounds just as sweet as its finish's namesake fruit. The bridge pickup has plenty of capacity for bite and punch in the mids, muscular lows, and open trebles filled with sparkling, shimmering overtones. The neck pickup is thick, rich, and warm, with broad midrange response and sweet, singing highs. In all positions, you'll find excellent clarity even in high-gain situations. Its attack is quite nice, too: growly and raunchy, but articulate. This Gretsch would excel in just about any country or rock situation I can think of, and it will surely inspire you to reach new heights on your fretboard adventures.
