How does a Telstar sound with Delay, Fuzz, Reverb, and more Delay? Not too bad if you ask us!
In this video, Warren takes us on a tour of Steve's pedal board into a Telstar. We used some funky guitars too. Warren's 1977 Ibanez 2341, completely stock with original "Made is W. Germany" tuners and slightly microphonic pickups and Steve's 1938 Gibson L-30 with a Piezo bridge. The L-30 was plugged straight into the board without a preamp possibly explaining the slightly noisy signal but still rad sound.
Amp was recorded using a Shure SM-7B mic split between cap and cone on axis in a Scarlett 4i4. Minimal processing done with a cut around 2.5K and some compression. As you can hear, we could've spent a little more time with levels between guitars and pedals but hopefully that short blip won't scare away from the rest of the video.
