How would you fill YOUR NiftyKEYZ all-in-one Eurorack case? Daniel Fisher is joined by Jimmy Blankenship, Sweetwater’s director of technical services, for part three of the Cre8audio NiftyKEYZ challenge. The rules are simple: using only modules and up to one pedal sold at Sweetwater, can you build the baddest, most versatile mobile Eurorack rig on the planet? Jimmy’s rig takes advantage of NiftyKEYZ’s onboard splits and polyphony, breaking the unit up into a chords / leads / rhythm configuration. A pair of dual-VCO Behringer 112s into a Walrus Audio Mako R1 reverb form Jimmy’s pad voicings, while a 112 running into an Erica Synths Polivoks VCF filter and Pittsburgh Modular Lifeforms analog delay make up the lead section. Rounding out the rhythm channel is a 4ms Quad Clock Distributor running into a 2HP reverb and Intellijel Bifold wavefolder. Check it out!
