I've been thinking about the five watt world tag line, "...the most music from the least gear." But I haven't published any music yet. And my favorite channels look at the tools for making music but a few, the best, also put their music out there.
So this is me doing that. The first is a new series of "five watt works" where I'm going to post music that I've created. Like a lot of what I write it is heavily influenced by film music. I'm often told it has a cinematic feel to it. So I grabbed some time lapse footage out the window of my loft studio space and put that up here so you'll have a visual to put the music to.
I want to challenge other creators that have gear oriented channels to do the same. Let's send a message that buying new gear is less important that creating new music.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for checking it out, and thanks for listening.
Keith
p.s. Ok, I'll give up the gear list. :)
I used the FYD amps MarCh (fydamps.com) for all the sounds.
I played my 2010 PRS DGT and a 2010 PRS Custom 22 soapbar with DGT neck (video in the works) into a Dunlop mini volume/expression pedal (https://amzn.to/2MMszOA) to a Catlainbread Echorec delay (https://amzn.to/2PdBNFs) into a on to a TC Electronics Trinity Reverb (https://amzn.to/2ODNGmO), mono into the front of the MarCh. The MarCh was feeding a Celestion Greenback IR in the Two Notes Torpedo Live into my trustee MOTU 896mk3 into Logic Pro X.
I shot the video out the window of the loft studio space. At 1000 times the original speed it came out just right for the tune.
