Hey there friends! Sean Pierce Johnson here and welcome back to "Stompbox Saturday". This week on the show we are taking a look at the new Augsburg Amp Sim by Westminster Effects. You may remember last year we took a listen to the Geneva V2 Amp Sim. Whereas that pedal looked to capture Vox-style amp tones (don't send me any more C&Ds KORG) the Augsburg looks to give players tone similar to the Fender Deluxe Reverb.
Although the aesthetics suggest that the Augsburg is meant to get Silverface Fender sounds, Westminster says that the pedal is capable of both types of Deluxe Reverb tones.
But can the Augsburg do what a Deluxe can? Can it get glassy clean tones? Can in handle pedals? Time to find out!
