It’s no secret whatsoever that we hold Z right towards the top of the tree when it comes to the amps we choose to carr-y! All rhyming aside, Dr Z are making some of the best amps in the world today, for our money, and we couldn’t be more proud to carry them as a UK exclusive.
For several decades, the Doctor has been issuing classic design after classic design, culminating in one of the strongest amp rosters on anyone’s books for 2020. However, there are a few gems from the past that we just can’t bring ourselves to let go...
In today’s video, Jack takes a look at some of the legacy models of the Dr Z range - amps that are no longer in production, so if you like what you hear, you’d better be quick in getting to our website to check them out for yourself!
Three of Jack’s personal favourites, we’re running through the following:
The DB4 - an amp designed in conjunction with long-time Z devotee Brad Paisley.
The Z28 - one of the finest EF86 driven circuits around, capable of skinny, articulate cleans or milkshake-thick drive.
and lastly, the Remedy - arguably, the ultimate Plexi recreation.
While we do wish that the Doctor would resuscitate these models, for the time being at least, the are the last examples you’ll find.
