Many thanks to Ray Carlton for sorting my '60 Robben Ford Tele clone out today. I was going to flip it but Ray has brought it back to life. Thanks, mate! I tested it through a straight-up '69 1959SLP Treble Input model on the Axe-FX III. It's always a good exercise for me to do this because it shows me how many tones are potentially there with just a twist of the volume and/or tone knobs and a flick of the pickup switch. And it's a credit to Fractal Audio that the model is so dynamic. Great stuff all round.
The guitar: It's not a Fender, it's a partscaster/clone. I stuck the decal on the headstock. It's 3kg total weight. MJT body, Musikraft neck with 9.5" fingerboard radius, Seymour Duncan Five-Two pickups, CTS 250k pots. A winner for me.
More about the guitar and the amp model in the next video ...
