The Epiphone Hummingbird Tenor ukulele is a super cute scaled down version of the iconic Gibson Hummingbird acoustic guitar.
Everything about this little uke stays pretty authentic to the guitar that it’s based on, so it features a mini dreadnought body design, it’s available in either a classic heritage cherry or tobacco sunburst finish, there’s body and neck binding, and it even features a replica of a 60’s style hummingbird pick guard and fretboard inlays, but of course, all scaled down to ukulele dimensions.
As great as it looks, the hummingbird uke isn’t just style over substance though, it’s a really well made instrument featuring a solid sitka spruce top, which when combined with the larger tenor size body shape, delivers a nice bold, bright tone. The neck features a great feeling slim-taper c shape profile , and it’s fitted with a set of high quality, 14:1 ratio open back tuners for high fast and accurate tuning.
Not only that, it’s also a piezo pickup under the bridge, meaning that you’ve got the option of plugging the uke into an amp or PA system, and it comes supplied with a custom fit gig bag, so it’s a perfect ukulele for gigging.
