This is a tone comparison between two modelers - the Fractal Audio Axe-Fx II and Atomic Amplifire. I am focusing solely on core amp tones that the two units have in common. Timeline below to skip to the amp you want to hear.

For recording I'm running my guitar into an X/Y switching pedal to select either the Axe-Fx II or Amplifire. Each are running XLR out into my interface with two simultaneous tracks running in Reaper. I've done my best to equalize volume, gain, and EQ between the two. Both are great units, hope you enjoy!
