After finishing my video on Minimalist Guitar Gear: the pedals, I realized that the next phase was going to be a lot tougher so I'd better get my thoughts together about what I really mean by minimalism in music gear. I've pulled my thoughts together on what it means to me to strive to be a minimalist in my guitar gear and put it into this video.
I find myself again quoting Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus, The Minimalists, and the documentary by director Matt D'Avella, "Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things".

I've also really enjoyed reading the collection of their essays, "Essential: Essays by the Minimalists".

I've also gained a lot from Patrick Rhone's excellent book, "Enough" and I'm sure his ideas have permeated some of what I'm saying here. I can't recommend this book highly enough.

Thanks for watching. Please let me know what you think about my definition in the comments. Don't be shy with your opinions or questions. I don't know the answers for anyone but me and even the answers for me, like all good questions, are evolving.
See you next time. Until then, thanks for being a part of the five watt world.
