In this video I discuss the idea of double tracking during recording and mixing. I'm explaining it in the context of electric guitar, but the same idea could be used for any recording. I have a track to show the difference between a single mono recording, compared to copying / pasting a mono take twice, compared to a true stereo hard panned double track with two separate performances. I also share a trick for taking a single performance and creating a double track that can be used in certain scenarios.
