After many episodes on gear we finally asked ourselves what we as players are contributing to our tone.
Thomas Blug and Manuel Kettenring will analyze how different playing techniques and picking styles as well as different gear choices can affect your tone. Throughout the episode, we'll share examples of different sounds, always trying to find the sweet spot for tone. We'll explore how to increase your awareness to control the complete system that creates your tone: guitar, amp, and effects, as well as your playing skills.
As Thomas is and expert on traditional classic guitar tones from Clean to Classic Rock we came up with the idea to expanding the range with an extreme example of the Metal world Dimebag Darell, one of the greatest metal guitarists of all time.
Dimebag, the guitarist of the heavy metal bands Pantera and Damageplan, was known for his extreme playing style, with a focus on fast riffs and heavy distortion.
