Its workout Wednesday and its time to get those fingers moving on something else besides the click button of your mouse.
Today we do a simple finger exercise that will loosen up the picking hand and warm up the fretting hand.
We will begin at 100 BPM them move to 140 BMP then 180 BPM
The sequence is as follows:
2nd Finger = 3rd Fret - B string
4th Finger = 5th Fret - B string
1st Finger =2nd Fret - E string
3rd Finger = 3rd Fret - E string
Keep the first finger down while moving up the fretboard. Keep your thumb placed firmly behind the neck. If you mess up while going up to the 12th fret stop and start again.
Do not move to a faster speed on the metronome till you can play it comfortably and cleanly at the slower speed first.
