One of the best parts of incorporating synthesizers into your music is that they can be used in a myriad of interesting ways—including as effects processors. Take a look around at the back (or perhaps front) panel of your synthesizers, and you might see a socket labeled "Ext. In." or something similar. This means that your synth can accept audio signal from an external instrument or mic source.
