The SlideWinder Ring is an interesting take on the slide. It doesn't pretend to be a traditional tube slide, or perform like one, but it does allow similar tones with a little practice. The small tone bar that's affixed to the inside of the ring is magnetic, so you don't need to put pressure on the string - just lower it enough to make contact. It's non-intrusive enough to allow free finger movement and therefore uninhibited standard fretting and playing too. Designed in USA by Alex Calder and manufactured in Nepal, the SlideWinderRing might be just the ticket to opening up some new playing possibilities for you.
This video was made to help out an inventor. No payment was received or asked for. I did keep the ring, though. :)
