This is an announcement. About a book.
It's exciting, there's a Kickstarter, here's the information:
"Tuesday the 26th of March 2019, the Kickstarter campaign for PEDAL CRUSH - the new book about effects pedals for creative music making - is going live. It can be found here: http://pedalcrush.com
PEDAL CRUSH is a creative guide to using pedals, a comprehensive exploration of effects featuring interviews with inspiring makers and artists who share their gear, philosophies & techniques.
The book contains everything from starting out with a pedal board to concepts, techniques, history and creative possibilities of specific effects and pedal types. Presentations of both popular and rare pedals, contemporary, boutique, and vintage, as well as lots of illustrated tips and tricks.
PEDAL CRUSH takes the reader on a unique journey of discovery, resulting in clarity and expanded knowledge of effects pedals and their creative, musical possibilities."
It should be real fun.
I'll be co-writing the book, focusing on more experimental uses of pedals (for guitarists, but also everybody else).
Bjooks have already created a couple other wonderful books focused on synthesizers: PUSH TURN MOVE and PATCH & TWEAK. You can check them out here to get a sense for what PEDAL CRUSH will be all about: https://www.pushturnmove.com/
