The relic job that adorns this Tele's 3-Tone Sunburst finish is magnificent, and the wood and wire beneath the paint job produce plenty of old-school Fender magic. Its attack is sponge-y and squeeze-y (these are scientific terms, I promise) with some nice natural compression that gives way to a sweet, singing resonance. In the bridge position, you'll find focused, vocal midrange above tight lows and rich, chiming highs. Flip to the neck position, and you'll get righteously smooth, warm, mellow sounds. The lows are warm and pillowy, the highs sing, and the mids are woody. This '59 Tele is sure to delight any Fender fanatic looking for sounds as sweet and warm as Grandma's chocolate chip cookies!
