What's going on friends?!? SeanPierceJohnson here and welcome to a very special episode of Stompbox Saturday. Today I'm joined by my buddy Dakota Raysik (aka DakotasCoolGuitars) for an episode about some very cool pedals...chorus pedals specifically.
We're having a three-way shootout between a vintage, Made in Japan, Silver Screw BOSS CE-2 Chorus pedal, a Made in Taiwan BOSS CE-2 modified by Robert Keeley (in the EARLY days of Keeley Electronics) and my Way Huge Blue Hippo mkII.
All of these pedals share a common ancestor and serve as examples of the evolution and offshoots of the classic analog chorus pedal circuit.
And although I certainly have a favorite of the three, they ALL SOUND SO GOOD!!
