This video places the new Compressor Mini in front of the mighty Dark Side with a PRS Studio at one end and a nice old brownface Fender combo (Axe-FX III model) at the other. I've chosen a breezy backing track - "Larry Carlton - jam track" from the jamtrackcentral.com library to show how I might use all of these elements in situ. A proper 'Demo' video for the Compressor Mini can also be viewed on this channel. Go to: https://youtu.be/kqRSBskOHbE
At the time of writing, Mr Keeley had just shipped his 100,000th Compressor. Yes, you read that right. That milestone alone should tell us that Keeley knows a thing or two about compressors and that he's got the recipe right. The Compressor Mini takes all of that experience and bundles it into a two-knob mini sized affair that delivers Manhattan-style boost, compression and limiting big time. There's a preamp in there that your guitar and ears will love and it's at home with both single coil and humbuckers equally. Transients of both types of pickups are kept intact to retain initial picking attack and finished off with as much sustain as you desire. I predict that this little guy will be a future classic and appear on thousands of pedalboards around the world quite soon. 10/10.
