The Smoothie Opto is a very well planned and executed optical compressor that will find love from guitarists, bassists and probably a heap of different studio uses as well. It has seperate level controls for the direct and compressed signals, a very welcome 'tilt-shift' tone control, internal voltage doubling (extra headroom), front-face attenuation to cater for low and high output instruments, clever 'attack' control and an incredibly smooth sound and feel. It takes up little space on your board and I reckon it will push a few of the big guys off once word gets around. Nice work, Cyrus.
