First manufactured in San Francisco, Musicraft, Inc., moved the factory to Astoria, Oregon in 1968 (after which production ceased) this 1967 Musicraft Messenger from the model’s debut year was among the first-ever modern aluminum-necked guitars ever built! Other than a small number of devotees like Grand Funk Railroad guitarist Mark Farner, these vintage instruments are so rare and hard to find floating around that we only have so much we can say about them. Hear how this one sounds in Nathaniel’s hands, then let us know in the comments anything you think our audience ought to know about these guitars!
