From time to time I really like to put in some unexpected phrases and melodies - even in a Blues- or Soul Tune. I saw the late great Hiram Bullock a couple of times, and he was a true master of handling these kind of out-of-scale-chromatic stuff. He inspired me a lot to do unusual things like this. Mike Scofield and Mike Stern are also perfect in this discipline.
So, you don't have to learn this whole phrase here, but check out the concept of sliding around the notes, putting in cromatics - and you will find similar things by yourself. AND: Don't do that too much on your local traditional Blues-Session.... :-)
